So glad to hear about cats. Both Ed and Marylor were cat lovers and I am now one too. Smart, curious and independent creatures, they brought me joy and made my house a home. Thank you Mark. Sorry for you to have to say goodbye to Felix.... looking forward to hearing about your next adoptee, because of course you need one! Maybe one from the Pussy Palace! Ha! :)
Oh! Your love and association with cats sounds just like my experience. I call myself queen of cat urine clean up. I have 2 cats again, now. 13yo Ciao Mao came to me from my Friend Kathy. Kathy went to Austria for 5 years to teach school. Ciao Mao has been with me for 7 years.
She's my forever cat, now. And I have 2yo Plato, a medium long haired black cat. My youngest son found Plato in a park in Tucson when Plato was a kitten. Geoff came home (Missoula) with the kitten in the car. And left Plato with me. He's a very fine cat.
I'm so sorry for you loss. Heart out to you and Pam. I know what it's like to lose a cat. I've lost two cats I loved with every ounce of my being. One was a flame-point Siamese--Louis. He was really a dog trapped in a cat's body! We think a fox got him as there had been one in the yard. Or a raccoon. Louis loved other animals and once I saw him inches from a raccoon, all curious and trying to make a new buddy. He'd run up to deer and touch noses with them.
And I do remember when you guys lost a cat to a raccoon. I've often warned my cat owner friends to be careful of raccoons and that I know someone whose cat was killed by one. And in a residential area in town.

Behaves much like you describe Felix.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thanks, Patsy.

I will pet a cat today in honor of Felix!
Thanks, Clare. Poor Smelly got bushwhacked by four raccoons on our front porch. He too was a lover extraordinaire! Too kitty cats!
